More details about the game were uncovered; namely the StreetPass features and some of the characters that show up in the game.

The early reviews for A Link Between Worlds have been decidedly positive, but I will save my own judgment and comments for when I get my hands on my own pre-ordered copy.

Professor Layton and the Azran Legacy Dated for North America

82598A 3DS package_NOA_PLatALThe final chapter of Level-5′s Professor Layton prequel trilogy, Professor Layton and the Azran Legacy, was given its official release date during yesterday’s Nintendo Direct presentation.

Those who enjoy using their puzzle-solving skills should mark their calendars for February 28, 2014.

I look forward to seeing how Azran Legacy turns out, I really enjoyed Professor Layton and the Miracle Maskthe previous 3DS installment.

YouTube App Headed to 3DS

It was revealed yesterday that a YouTube application will soon be released on the Nintendo eShop for the 3DS.

The YouTube app should be available for download by the end of the month. Videos can be watched on the top screen while users browse on the bottom screen.

Personally, I hope the capabilities of the app are at least comparable to most mobile YouTube applications, which typically cannot play all of the videos that can be found on the desktop site, but still serve their purpose well enough.

Pokemon Direct Scheduled for September 4

Pokemon Direct 8-4There will be more new details about Pokemon X & Pokemon Y revealed tomorrow – Nintendo has confirmed that another Pokemon Direct presentation is scheduled for September 4 at 4:00 am PDT.

Stay tuned for the broadcast tomorrow morning, and all of the news that is sure to follow here on 3DStination.com. I would love to see more new Pokemon, Mega Evolutions and information regarding Pokemon Amie and Super Training – what about you?

Two New Professor Layton Games Coming Next Year

Two new Professor Layton-related games were announced during today’s Nintendo Direct broadcast. First, the last game in the latest Professor Layton trilogy was confirmed - Professor Layton and the Azran Legacy. 

Additionally, Professor Layton vs. Ace Attorney was also confirmed for localization in North America.

Not much was revealed about the gameplay, but we can expect to see both The Azran Legacy as well as Professor Layton vs. Ace Attorney sometime in 2014.
